Nursery – This week Peacock Class have been reading the Gingerbread Man story. We acted out this story so that we could feel like the characters. It was lots of fun chasing after the Gingerbread Man!
Peacock Class have an extended sensory room attached to their room and we loved exploring the sounds of different instruments in there this week! We particularly enjoyed playing on the xylophone!
The children independently chose their favourite songs on the interactive whiteboard and enjoyed singing and dancing to nursery rhymes.
Nursery are playing in the snow – Last week the children loved watching the snow fall. They enjoyed touching and feeling the soft texture of the snow! We also had a circle time discussion about how to dress warm in winter. Playing outdoors with others encourages social development and collaboration. This is because play teaches children how to work together in groups, which includes learning to share, negotiate, and solve conflict.
