Safer Internet Day – Tuesday 5th February 2019
Safer Internet Day 2019 takes place today to promote the safe, responsible and positive use of digital technology by children and young people.
In Year One, the children were shown the video of Buddy the Dog’s Internet Safety Story
“Raising knowledge and awareness to children and their parents is important. Parents need to be fully aware of what their child and friends are doing whilst online – by using social media, video streaming or online gaming” – Mrs Bhamra, Computing Teacher
In computing year 5 made bookmarks , using Word, to celebrate Internet Safety Day.
“I enjoyed making my bookmark because I had freedom to express what I thought and knew about internet safety. I had lots of freedom to design my bookmark anyway I wanted.” Simran K
In Year Six, we have been making bookmarks to remind us about being safe online. We used keyboard shortcuts to copy and paste.
Mahi said “It was fun learning to group text boxes and copy them in one go.”
