April 2021

Since returning to school after the Easter break, children have been buzzing with excitement to spend time with their peers and talk about some of the things that they did with their family. Children have also been sharing some pictures of things that they have created over the holiday period. Children missed playing with each other and have thoroughly enjoyed being in the small world area making fantastic models with lego and other construction materials. A huge part of childrens’ learning is ‘learning through play,’ children have been dressing up in the role play area and have been recreating scenarios where they are the shopkeepers and people have come to their shop to buy food, they absolutely love pressing the buttons on the till and scanning items in. Unfortunately, this year children and families have missed out on the chance to go to the Nagar Kirtan and take part in our annual Sikh religious celebration of ‘Vasaikhi’, to mark this auspicious occasion children in Nursery have made their own ‘Nishan Sahibs’, to take home to show their family.
