Welcome to Life at KPS for Year Nursery
Mrs Birring warmly welcome you to Nursery.
The aim of this page is to highlight some of the fantastic learning that has been happening in Nursery, this page will be updated monthly, with photographs and information about the learning we have completed during the month.
We hope you enjoy looking through these updates and do discuss your child’s learning with them to celebrate their success. We look forward to any suggestions you may have to make your child’s learning a pleasant experience.
What we have been learning so far this year:
February 2021
During our remote learning we still managed to cover lots of different areas, in phonics we have started to learn our red tricky words. Some children have started to write these tricky words, we use different colours and bubbles to make the words more interesting. We have also had a lot of fun at home painting and drawing pictures of the things that we see when we go out for walks with our family. In maths we have been looking at different sizes, we have been looking around the house for things that we can arrange in size order. We have also been reading Goldilocks and the three bears to help encourage children to talk about different sizes. During lockdown we were fortunate enough to have some snow, children in nursery have been busy making snowmen in their gardens with the help of their family and friends.
