This month in Nursey we have been focusing on children to recognise numbers up to 15. Through different activities and games, our children have been learning to recognise and match numbers together. The children have been recognising numbers within their environment and are able to pronounce them in the correct way. Some of our children are beginning to recognise numbers over 15! Our Nursery children are beginning to recognise two-digit numbers and are able to tell which number comes first. Well done Nursery!
Personal, Social, Emotional Development
This month in nursey we have been talking about how we feel through stories and talking amongst each other. When reading the story The Tiger who came to tea, we spoke about how the children would feel if a tiger ate all their food. This gave children the opportunity to share their feelings and talk about themselves and others. The children also learnt to always be kind to each other whilst playing and talking.
Physical Development
In Nursery this month children have been singing and acting many different songs to relate to the story we are reading which is The tiger who came to tea. Other sings the children enjoyed singing ae the rainbow song and down in the jungle. Children acted out the moves using their hands and body moving to the songs. Our children also used a range of musical instruments to use whilst singing and dancing to the songs. Fantastic singing children!
