Welcome to Life at KPS for Year Nursery
Mrs Birring warmly welcome you to Nursery.
The aim of this page is to highlight some of the fantastic learning that has been happening in Nursery, this page will be updated monthly, with photographs and information about the learning we have completed during the month.
We hope you enjoy looking through these updates and do discuss your child’s learning with them to celebrate their success. We look forward to any suggestions you may have to make your child’s learning a pleasant experience.
What we have been learning so far this year:
September 2020
During the first few weeks the children have come to nursery and started the session with “child initiated play”, children enjoyed exploring activities and resources for themselves. We will introduce the children to all the areas of the nursery and help them to familiarise themselves with the resources to enable them to make choices about where they want to work and what they need to use.
Playing in the home corner, trying to listen to each other and take turns. We really enjoyed phoning up our family and friends, as well as ordering ‘chicken nuggets’. We loved mark making and forming some letters from our names on the enormous white board.
We have enjoyed being explorers and have been making new friends. We have had lots of fun listening to stories and are beginning to learn how to tidy up! The weather has been great too which meant lots of water play outside!
