Welcome to Life at KPS for Year 1

Miss Owoaje and Mrs Richardson warmly welcome you to Year 1.

The aim of this page is to highlight some of the fantastic learning that has been happening in Year 1, this page will be updated monthly, with photographs and information about the learning we have completed during the month.

We hope you enjoy looking through these updates and do discuss your child’s learning with them to celebrate their success. We look forward to any suggestions you may have to make your child’s learning a pleasant experience.

July 2022

This month is Year 1, we have been really busy! In Maths we consolidated all our leaning for the year and ended with adding and subtracting 2 digits numbers with a 1-digit number up to 100. We rounded up our story- The Lighthouse Keepers’ Lunch. We drafted our big writes and used all our English vocab and punctuation to write beautifully.

This month we also found out who our new Year 2 teachers will be and we were lucky to spend some time with them before we start in September. We have made so many great memories in Year 1 and we’re now ready to move onto the next journey in our school life.
