Welcome to Life at KPS for Year 2

Mrs Sandhu and Mrs Morgan warmly welcome you to Year 2.

The aim of this page is to highlight some of the fantastic learning that has been happening in Year 2, this page will be updated monthly, with photographs and information about the learning we have completed during the month.

We hope you enjoy looking through these updates and do discuss your child’s learning with them to celebrate their success. We look forward to any suggestions you may have to make your child’s learning a pleasant experience.

April 2021

This month the children have been busy making scones in the Guru Angad Dev Ji room. They have completed stitching their sweets together and decorated them to be like the kind from the Gingerbread house in the Hansel & Gretel story. Their writing task was to retell the Hansel & Gretel story using adverbs of time, -ly words and to use adjectives in a 2A sentence – we have been very impressed with how well the story has been remembered and retold in great detail. For gardening, the children helped to move the indoor seedlings that had germinated and were ready to be planted outside into the Year 2 garden.
