Welcome to Life at KPS for Year 2

Mrs Sandhu and Mrs Birring warmly welcome you to Year 2.

The aim of this page is to highlight some of the fantastic learning that has been happening in Year 2, this page will be updated monthly, with photographs and information about the learning we have completed during the month.

We hope you enjoy looking through these updates and do discuss your child’s learning with them to celebrate their success. We look forward to any suggestions you may have to make your child’s learning a pleasant experience.

December 2021

In Year 2 we have ended the term wonderfully by writing up the Aladdin story once we had made storyboards aswell as speech which had been role-played previously. The children were greatly inspired by the Aladdin panto and had enjoyed the alternative scenes too. As part of our Christmas concert, the children learned about the Christmas story and had the opportunity to sequence the events. We also rounded off the maths unit, by working on gaps in addition and subtraction. They had such fun on Christmas jumper day and thoroughly enjoyed us teachers joining in on the fun and food. It inspired them to use the skills learned about celebrating differences in people aswell as various cultures around the world.
