Welcome to Life at KPS for Year 3

Mrs Clarke and Mrs Athwal warmly welcome you to Year 3.

The aim of this page is to highlight some of the fantastic learning that has been happening in Year 3, this page will be updated monthly, with photographs and information about the learning we have completed during the month.

We hope you enjoy looking through these updates and do discuss your child’s learning with them to celebrate their success. We look forward to any suggestions you may have to make your child’s learning a pleasant experience.

April 2021

In Year Three this month we have been working very hard to finish our cross stitch pieces.  The children have showed great determination and perseverance while working on their stitches.  They have become experts at threading the needle and using a range of colours and patterns to finish off their designs.  The children have also been patient with each other and have really come together as a team to achieve their final pieces which will complement their published traditional tale, Hansel and Gretel which they wrote to entertain the reader.

This month we have also celebrated Vaisakhi.  It was fantastic to see all the children dressed in their traditional wear and enjoying each other’s company on the day.  We watched a live broadcast of the assembly within our classroom and we took part in all the Shabads that were being sung.  The children joined in beautifully and it was a very proud moment for us.  We also took part in Langar and enjoyed yummy food which was absolutely delicious!  As a class we discussed the values of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s teachings and talked about how we were truly blessed to have had the opportunity to celebrate in our school.
