September 2022
We have had an amazing start to the year. We began by looking at our class rules and behavior expectations. Also, we designed a class charter together based on our school code of conduct – be ready; be safe; be respectful –and came together and decided how we can meet these rules and how we can show respect all around the school.
During the week, we have done a lot of work surrounding our Class Birds. We have created some beautiful art work for our Class Birds and some even chose to do cartoon drawing. They look brilliant! We also focused on the importance of Crows and Ravens in Sikhi and looked at some interesting facts to make our own Fact Files.
As it’s the start of the year, we also discussed how to be safe, not just in school, but also online. We watched a few videos and learnt from ‘Evil Aaron’ that we need to think about our personal details and our online behaviour to ensure we are safe at all times. Not only that, but also to know what sites are safe sites.
With the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, we looked again at her life and all the important work she did throughout her life. We learnt of so many things that we didn’t even know that she was involved!
In Maths, we started the year with place value and we even completed work within 1,000,000!
