In Year Six this month we have been finishing our final embroidery pieces.  After practising a range of stitches including running, stem, backstitch, satin, lazy daisy, ffrench knots with an element of applique as well. The children designed an embroidery piece to accompany their published traditional tale which they wrote to entertain the reader. They showed great patience and concentration whilst doing their embroidery, with fantastic outcomes. Their work will be proudly displayed the contemplation zone soon.

We celebrated Vaisakhi this month with an assembly which was filmed and broadcast to parents in both English and Panjabi re-telling the story of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s creation of the Khalsa. We also took part in the Seva of Nishan Sahib, following by the Langar. This Vaisakhi celebration is really special for us as this is our last one where we have the privilege to wash the Nishan sahib at Khalsa Primary School, before we leave in July.
