Welcome to Life at KPS for Year 6

Mrs Nanda and Mrs Jabble warmly welcome you to Year 6.

The aim of this page is to highlight some of the fantastic learning that has been happening in Year 6, this page will be updated monthly, with photographs and information about the learning we have completed during the month.

We hope you enjoy looking through these updates and do discuss your child’s learning with them to celebrate their success. We look forward to any suggestions you may have to make your child’s learning a pleasant experience.

July 2022

We have had a busy July in Year 6!

Careers Fair

We kicked off July 2022 by joining the Career’s Fair at Wexham Secondary school. Our children were lucky enough to engage and experience career insights – especially what they need to do to make the correct career choice for them. They are already making their minds up, some possible career choices are as follows:

• being a marine biologist,
• what to study to practice criminal law or be a solicitor,
• what it takes to be an aeronautical engineer,
• what skills does a creative writer need?

We wish them all the best in the future careers whatever they dream of!

Y6 Graduation:

The highlight for this month was our Year 6 Graduation! We were so proud of our children that day, they looked superb in their gowns with their scrolls and certificates. Our head boy, Hargobindjit and Head Girl Khushi were awesome comperes!

We must also congratulate our Deputy Head Boy Ikroop and Deputy Head Girl Anmol for their super speeches too.

The atmosphere at Pioneer Secondary Academy was electric!

The Variety Show

Our children have been busy practicing for the Variety Show. They have worked in groups to bring us magic, song and dance! Here they are during rehearsals for what is promising to be a wonderful event!

Periscopes

We gave our children a mission – could they construct a periscope in order to spy on other children? Many of our ‘spies’ were successful but unfortunately, some had to abort their missions on being discovered!
